Agra is also known by the name of Taj City. The city with its rich
resources sets up tourist priority. The city has a great inflow of
tourists and from all over the world. The city of Agra is well connected
to the rest of India. Transport in Agra is via air, roads and the rails
that run through the city. Air The domestic airport of Agra is located some 11 kms from the centre of the city. Connecting flights provide for the easy access of tourists from different parts of the country. Domestic flights from Varanasi, Delhi and Khajuraho connects Agra with the rest of the country. Railways Agra city has its railway station grounded at Agra Cantonment. Taj Express is a special train that runs from Delhi to Agra. Other trains include Shatabdi Express and the Intercity Express. The rails connect Agra with the major cities like Delhi, Gwalior, Bhopal, etc. Road There is a regular bus service from the adjoining cities of Agra. Buses from cities like Delhi, Mathura, Gwalior, etc. provide the means of transportation from and in to the city.
